DB’s MA thesis, “Kings, Queens, and In-Betweens: Exploring Gender and Power through Drag Performances,” examines the effects of gender, sexual orientation, and digital technology on drag performance. As a doctoral student, DB plans to extend this work to explore how new media and digital technologies represent, construct, and reimagine gender, embodiment, and identity.
