The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Friday, April 19, 2024 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm Susquehanna Hall, 4105

We're shaking it up this month. Bead Weave and Read will be on the 3rd Friday of the month! Join us for the second meeting of the Crochet series. Crocheters of all skill levels are welcome! Start a new project or keep working on something you've already started. This week we'll be reading an excerpt from All Our Relations by Winona Laduke (Ojibwe).

Join us for Bead, Weave, and Read, a monthly workshop where we explore different crafting traditions while we visit. This series focuses on crafts such as beadwork, basket-weaving, earring making, loom skills, and more, each complemented by thought-provoking readings from Indigenous women and Two Spirit authors. Each session lasts 1.5 hours with new crafts and reading introduced every three sessions. All crafting supplies, snacks, and reading are provided - just bring your curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm! Supplies and space limited. This semester we'll meet on the 2nd Friday of every month (except this month).
