Consortium for Race, Gender, and Ethnicity releases 2024 issue of annual publication Intersections & Inequality

The Consortium of Race, Gender, and Ethnicity has released the newest issue of their annual Research Connections publication, Intersections & Inequality. This year's newsletter celebrates the 25th anniversary of the founding of CRGE by WGSS faculty members Dr. Ruth Zambrana and Dr. Bonnie Thornton Dill. The issue

Intersections & Inequality is CRGE’s annual Research Connections publication. This publication highlights UMD faculty intersectional research projects, faculty and graduate student awardees of our major research seed grant initiatives, new developments in our intersectional database, reflections by our research assistants, and recognition of affiliates’ accomplishments. Other announcements include special events, book corner, and intersectional resources.

We illustrate UMD intersectional scholarship that advances long-standing issues of race, ethnicity, class, and gender employing qualitative and mixed methods research. Our commitments are 1) to reach out to provide research mentoring opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in intersectional research, 2) to collaborate with other units to engage in intersectional research projects, mentoring, and joint programmatic activities across disciplines on the UMD campus.

This year's issue features several research spotlights on WGSS faculty and affiliate faculty as well as highlighting the wonderful work done by Dr. Zambrana and Dr. Thornton Dill over the past 25 years.
